This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the AnyScore mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service").
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account Information
When you create an account, we collect:
- Email address
- Display name (if provided)
- Profile photo (if uploaded)
- Authentication identifiers from Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In
2.2 Score and Practice Data
When you use the Service, we collect:
- Uploaded sheet music files (PDF, MusicXML, camera scans)
- Generated score artifacts and previews
- Practice session data, including note accuracy, timing, and tempo
- Session analytics and performance summaries
- Practice preferences, loop settings, and mode selections
2.3 Device and Usage Data
We may automatically collect:
- Device type, operating system, and app version
- Crash reports and diagnostics (via Sentry in beta and production builds)
- General usage patterns to improve the Service
2.4 Waitlist Information
If you join our waitlist through the website, we collect your email address. This is stored securely in our database and used solely for product updates and launch notifications.
2.5 Purchase and Subscription Data
Subscription status, purchase history, App Store transaction identifiers, and entitlement status are processed through RevenueCat and Apple to manage Pro access, restore purchases, and support billing-related features. We do not collect or store your full payment card details.
2.6 Microphone Data
If you enable microphone note detection, audio is processed entirely on your device for pitch and note matching. We do not store, upload, or transmit raw microphone recordings to our servers.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- Process and prepare your uploaded sheet music for interactive practice
- Deliver real-time practice feedback and analytics
- Sync your score library, preferences, and practice history across devices
- Manage your account and subscription
- Send you important service updates, security alerts, and support messages
- Diagnose technical issues and improve app stability
- Enforce our Terms of Service
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored using industry-standard cloud services, including Supabase (for authentication, database, and file storage) and Railway (for backend processing). We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
Device-local caches (including SQLite databases and score bundles) are scoped to your account and cleared on sign-out or account switch.
5. Third-Party Services
We integrate with the following third-party services:
- Supabase — authentication, data storage, and file hosting
- Apple Sign-In / Google Sign-In — secure account authentication
- RevenueCat — subscription and in-app purchase management
- Sentry — error tracking and diagnostics (beta and production only)
- Cloudflare — website hosting and performance

6. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share data only:
- With service providers who assist us in operating the Service (as listed above)

7. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Service. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time through the in-app Settings page. Upon account deletion, we will remove your personal data, uploaded scores, practice history, and associated files from our systems.
Some data may be retained in backups for a limited period following deletion, after which it will be permanently removed.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access and receive a copy of your personal data
- Correct inaccurate personal data
- Request deletion of your personal data
- Object to or restrict the processing of your personal data
- Data portability

9. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
