Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the AnyScore application and website (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after modifications constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Description of Service

AnyScore is a piano practice application for iOS (iPad and iPhone) that allows users to:

• Upload sheet music in PDF, MusicXML, or camera-scanned formats
• Practice piano with real-time MIDI and microphone feedback
• Track practice progress through session analytics and performance insights
• Access guided loop practice and score-specific recommendations

The Service includes both free and paid subscription tiers. Feature availability may vary by plan.

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account using Apple Sign-In, Google Sign-In, or email registration. You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate and complete registration information
• Maintaining the security of your account credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account and use the Service.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

4.1 Free Plan

The free plan includes up to 3 cloud score slots (counting active and archived scores) and a fair-use preparation limit of 12 OMR jobs or 60 OMR pages per rolling 30-day period. Full practice tools are included with the free plan.

4.2 Pro Plan

The Pro plan unlocks unlimited library capacity and is available as:

• Monthly subscription: $9.99/month
• Annual subscription: $79.99/year

4.3 Payment and Billing

Subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store via RevenueCat. All payments are subject to Apple's App Store terms and conditions. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.

4.4 Refunds

Refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with App Store policies. Please contact Apple Support for refund inquiries.

5. User Content

5.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you upload to the Service, including sheet music files, score metadata, cover artwork, and profile information ("User Content"). By uploading User Content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process, store, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

5.2 Content Responsibility

You are solely responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights and permissions to upload and use any sheet music or other content through the Service. You must not upload content that:

• Infringes on any third party's intellectual property rights
• Violates any applicable law or regulation
• Contains malicious code or harmful content

5.3 Content Removal

We reserve the right to remove any User Content that we believe violates these Terms, without prior notice. You may delete your content at any time through the Service.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Use automated systems or bots to access the Service
• Resell, redistribute, or sublicense any part of the Service
• Circumvent any access restrictions or usage limits

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, code, graphics, and branding, is owned by AnyScore and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works from the Service without our express written permission.

"AnyScore" and associated logos are trademarks of AnyScore. You may not use them without our prior written consent.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. Score processing results, including optical music recognition (OMR) output, may vary in accuracy depending on the quality and format of uploaded content.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AnyScore shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising from or related to your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

10. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the in-app Settings page. Upon deletion, all associated data — including uploaded scores, practice history, analytics, and stored files — will be permanently removed from our systems.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we determine is harmful to the Service or other users.

11. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party platforms including Apple App Store, Supabase, and RevenueCat. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and policies. We are not responsible for the practices or content of third-party services.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of competent jurisdiction.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining Terms remain in full force and effect.
